Steve Graduated from Oxford Brooks University in 1992 with a BEng Honours Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering and has practiced as a Structural Engineering consultant continuously ever since. Becoming Chartered in 2000, then running S J Johnson Associates from 2009.
CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Structural Engineering is a constantly evolving profession, with material and product developments and improvements that once understood can be utilized in projects. The benefits of which (often cost) then passed down to the clients. Chartered Engineers are supposed to keep up to date with these and other matters by maintaining a record of Continued Professional Development known as [CPD]. Regardless of the dim view the IStructE takes on its members who do not maintain a CPD record, Steve has maintained a continuous record since becoming a Chartered member in 2000.
